Mildred F. Meyr, 95, formerly of New Wells, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2006, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Aug. 18, 1911, at New Wells, daughter of John H. and Anna M. Winter Huttegger. She and George J. Meyr were married Feb. 8, 1931. He passed away Sept. 25, 1989.
Mildred, being a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church at New Wells, was baptized, confirmed, and married at the church. She was a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Ladies Aid many years.
Loving survivors include three daughters, Delores Wallman of Jackson, Ruby (Delmar) Koenig of New Wells, Carol (Eugene) Kaufmann of St. Louis; a son, Dean (Delores) Meyr of Perryville, Mo.; 10 grandchildren, Bruce Koenig, Brian (Dianna) Koenig, Brenda (William) Renz, Corrine (Clayton) Gardner, Lt. Col. Phillip Kaufmann, Andrea Kaufmann, Delwain Meyr, Daphine (Brad) Buerck, Dawnelle (Jeremy) Zoellner, and Dericka (Michael) Newell; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Esther Meyr; a grandson, Keith Koenig; and a son-in-law, Ernst Wallman.
Friends may call Friday from 4 to 9 p.m. at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson, and after 9 a.m. Saturday, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in New Wells.
The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the church, with the Rev. Walter Patzwitz officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
