Mildred Louise Mesenbrink, 87, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2005, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Sept. 14, 1917, in Campbell, Mo., daughter of Dr. Noah M. and Cynthia E. Ward Jones. She and Glenn Anderson were married July 18, 1937, in Hayti, Mo. He is deceased. She and Wilhelm Mesenbrink were married Feb. 18, 1978, in Sikeston, Mo. He died Nov. 21, 1988.
Mesenbrink grew up in Campbell and worked at the Bank of Campbell for several years. She moved to Cabool, Mo., and worked in civil service for the U.S. government. Mesenbrink moved to Cape Girardeau in 1992. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and was a member of American Legion Post 68 Auxiliary. She was a past member of Campbell Music Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Gail Giles of Cape Girardeau, Kristi Woodfin of Charleston, S.C.; a son, Glenn "Andy" Anderson II of Charleston; a sister, Margaret Bricker of St. Louis, Mo.; three grandchildren, Cynthia E. Heinlein, Christopher B. Giles, both of St. Louis, Mo., Julie C. Anderson of Charleston; five great-grandchildren; a niece; and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother; a daughter, Elizabeth B. Anderson in 1954; and sister Miriam Twitty in 1963.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Graveside services will be at a later date at Woodlawn Cemetery in Campbell.
Memorials may be made to Centenary United Methodist Church and Campbell United Methodist Church.
