ZALMA, Mo. -- Funeral for Mildred Irene Mayberry of Zalma will be held at 11 a.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, Mo. The Rev. Gene Lineberry will officiate. Burial will be in Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield, Mo.

Mayberry, 80, died Sunday, July 29, 2001, at Puxico, Mo.

She was born Oct. 20, 1920, at Essex, Mo., daughter of Edwin Tucker and Clara Scudder Mitchell. She and Lonnie Mayberry were married May 9, 1942, at Bloomfield. He died May 5, 1964.

Mayberry was a cook at Zalma R-5 Schools many years, and had also worked at Lutesville Hat Factory. She was a member of First General Baptist Church in Advance.

Survivors include four sons, Jim, Roger and Bob Mayberry, all of Zalma, Larry Mayberry of Annapolis, Mo.; five daughters, Marlene Schanks and Barbara Niedner of St. Charles, Mo., Betty Koyle of Burley, Idaho, Brenda Lineberry of O'Fallon, Mo., Micky Bailey of Puxico; 18 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister, and a grandson.
