SIKESTON -- Funeral for Mildred E. Marks of Sikeston will be held at 2 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Mary McCord will officiate. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Marks, 79, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 1999, at Clearview Nursing Center.
She was born Feb. 20, 1920, in Elkville, Ill., daughter of Ardell and Nora Murray Friedline. She and Roy Marks were married Feb. 25, 1939, at Jackson.
Marks served on the State of Missouri Advisory Council for Developmental Disabilities. She was a member of First Christian Church and its Keystone Sunday School Class, and the Women's Civic Club.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Lee Marks of Pensacola, Fla., Johnny Marks of Higginsville; a daughter, Jean Marks of Lexington, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
