VanGennip, 73, died Monday, April 17, 1995, at Sells Rest Home in Matthews.

She was born July 29, 1921, in Dongola, Mo., daughter of John and Nellie Maude Sample VanGennip.

Survivors include a sister, Rita Nall of Advance; four brothers, Paul, Robert and B.F. VanGennip of Advance, and Theodore VanGennip of St. Louis.
