MILDRED M. GIBSON

MOUNDS, Ill. -- Mildred M. Gibson, 72, of Mounds, died Monday, May 13, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 13, 1919, in East St. Louis, daughter of Adolphus and Catherine Agnes Tobin Laws. She married Mack Gibson, who died Jan. 21, 1978.

Gibson was a member of First Baptist Church here.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Gibson of Mounds, David Gibson of Cairo; a daughter, Karen Allen of Mounds; two sisters, Helen Smoot and Hazel Sullivan of Mounds, and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Jones Funeral Chapel in Villa Ridge. The Rev. Jerry Herring will officiate, with burial in National Cemetery at Mound City.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
