SIKESTON -- Mildred LaFaye Hays, 67, of Sikeston, died Saturday, Oct. 15, 1994, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born June 27, 1927, at Hartman, Ark., the daughter of James and Edna Brotherton Hays.
A resident of Sikeston for the past 50 years, she was a member of Calvary Temple, where she had worked with various church organizations. She was a volunteer in the Outreach Program at Hunter Acres Caring Center and was a licensed practical nurse, working at various hospitals and nursing homes in this area.
Survivors include two brothers, Everett W. Hays and Robert W. Hays of Sikeston; two sisters, Ilah Vines and Georgia Davidson of Sikeston; one niece, raised since infancy, Merletta Lambert of Nashville, Tenn.; and several other nieces and nephews.
Two brothers preceded her in death.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Calvary Temple with the Rev. Dan Stoffel, pastor, officiating and the Rev. Gaylon Butler assisting. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.
