TAMMS, Ill. -- Mildred I. Harvell, 95, of Tamms died Sunday, March 25, 2012, at Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 29, 1916, in Tamms to Frank and Gussie Forgery Lawrence.
She married Plez Harvell in May 1940. He preceded her in death April 22, 2009.
Mildred was an avid homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Tamms.
She is survived by one son, Michael (Thelma) Harvell Sr. of Tamms; one daughter, Pamela Harvell (Marion Stevens) of Tamms; one grandson, Michael Harvell Jr. of Apple Creek, Mo.; two granddaughters, Nichole Dunn of Millersville and Julie Choate of LaVergne, Tenn.; six great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents one sister, Elsie Halterman; and five brothers, Paul, Osa, Edward, Ott and Teed Lawrence.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill.
Funeral services will held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tom Bridges officiating. Interment will follow in McCrite Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to McCrite Cemetery and will be accepted at the funeral home.
