McLEANSBORO, Ill. -- Mildred M. Eggley, 79, of McLeansboro died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro.
She was born June 14, 1923, in Michigan City, Ind., daughter of Oral Raymond and Jessie Bell Sayers. She and Lee Eggley were married Feb. 6, 1943, in St. Louis.
She was a member of Dahlgren Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; five sons, the Rev. Thomas Eggley and wife Esther of Petersburg, Ill., Fred Eggley and wife Jewel (Judy) of Cape Girardeau, Don Eggley and wife Shari of Mt. Vernon, Mo., Mike Eggley and wife Deborah of Des Moines, Iowa, Denny Eggley and wife Lin of Centralia, Ill.; one daughter, Paula Webb and husband Cecil of McLeansboro; two sisters, Dorothy Ashford of Pontoon Beach, Ill., and Orabelle Tuttle of Kalamazoo, Mich.; 11 grandchildren, Debra Rau of Cape Girardeau, Amy Boner of McLeansboro, Dan Reed of Carbondale, Ill., Thomas Eggley of O'Fallon, Ill., Deeann Vargas of Jackson, Matt Eggley of Fairfield, Calif., Joshua and Stephen Eggley of Des Moines, Pamela Warren of Petersburg, Ill., Carmen Biggs of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister; a grandson, Brett Allen Eggley; and a great-granddaughter, Jessica Ann Morgan.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Revs. James Walker, Charles McCormick and Thomas Eggley officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Cemetery in Edwardsville, Ill.
