SIKESTON -- Mildred Adams, 90, of Sikeston died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2000, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center.
She was born July 5, 1909, in Calloway County, Ky., daughter of Otis W. and Noma Fain Stubblefield. She and Harry Adams were married March 24, 1928. He died Nov. 7, 1941.
She was a member of the Goshen United Methodist Church at Stella, Ky., until 1977, when she moved to Sikeston to reside with her daughter. She then became a member of the First United Methodist Church at Sikeston.
Survivors include a daughter, Doris Jones of Sikeston; a son, Charles Adams of Albuquerque, N.M.; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, two brothers and a great-granddaughter.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home at Sikeston.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Dempster Chapel of the First United Methodist Church. Dr. Jim Davis and the Rev. Sandra Schaller will officiate.
Friends may then call from 2 -2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Goshen United Methodist Church at Stella. Burial will follow at Goshen Cemetery.
