BLOOMFIELD -- Mida Ruth Metcalf, 70, of Bloomfield, died Monday, July 22, 1991, at Bloomfield Nursing Center.
She was born Aug. 28, 1920, at Bell City, daughter of Levi David and Cecil Mae Reynolds Lewis. She married Ray Edward Metcalf Dec. 13, 1941, at Bell City.
Metcalf worked at the nursing center from the time it opened until she retired.
Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Loretta Green and Elwanda Pullum of Dexter, Julia Sommers of Puxico, Rebecca Stephens of Bernie; four sons, Perry Metcalf of Bloomfield, Earl, David and Eddie Metcalf of Dexter; 14 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two children, Thomas and Marceia Metcalf; four brothers and four sisters.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Vyron Yount will officiate, with burial in Gravel Hill Cemetery near here.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
