Michael Wayne Vogelsang, 52, of Cape Girardeau passed away Monday, Oct. 23, 2000, at his home.
He was born Jan. 22, 1948, in Cape Girardeau, son of Ervin Harold and Margaret Elizabeth Cracraft Vogelsang. He and Linda Keel were married April 24, 1971.
Mr. Vogelsang was a line splicer with Southwestern Bell from 1973 until retiring in 1999. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Snipers Team BCA Pool League, and CWA Local 6316.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include a son, Aaron Vogelsang of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Mollie Vogelsang Miranda and husband Paul of Jackson, Mo.; his father, Ervin Vogelsang of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Lynn Vogelsang of Cape Girardeau; special loved ones Linda and Carly Vogelsang of Jackson; and many lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Vogelsang.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Douglas C. Breite officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
