Michael S. Sprenger, 63, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Dec. 29, 1947, in Cape Girardeau to Harold and Wilda Mae Smith Sprenger.

He was a graduate of College High School where he played basketball. He loved fishing and hunting.

Mr. Sprenger was a security guard for West Park Mall.

Survivors include his mother, Wilda Mae Sprenger of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Julie Ann Keys and husband Kevin of Chaffee, Mo., Melissa Cooper of Cape Girardeau, Jessica Lema and husband Billy of Patton, Mo.; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating.

Burial will follow at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
