Michael Smith

Michael 'Mike' David Smith, 40, of Scott City died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2005, at his residence.

He was born on Nov. 17, 1965, in St. Louis, son of Robert Teddy 'R.T.' and Mabel Ruth Wiseman Smith. He and Shari Marie Tharp were married on March 17, 1990, in Cape Girardeau.

Smith was an electrician for International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and a member of the Church of Christ in Jackson.

Survivors include his mother, Mabel Smith; his wife; two sons, Ryan Michael Smith and Adam David Smith, all of Scott City; two brothers, Barry Allen of Arnold, Mo. and Terry Smith of Scott City; one sister, Lisa Smith of Scott City and grandmother, Evelyn Wiseman of Cape Girardeau.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Amick Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Amick Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City with Bryan McAllister officiating. Burial will be in the Lightner Memorial Cemetery in Scott City.
