Michael Schlosser

ORAN, Mo. -- Michael J. Schlosser, 56, died Friday, Nov. 18, 2011, at his home in Oran.

He was born Sept. 19, 1955, in Cape Girardeau to the late John E. and Bertilla Catherine Steimle Schlosser.

Michael was a maintenance man with Nestle Purina Pet Care Co. in Bloomfield, Mo., as well as a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg, Mo.

He is survived by a significant other, Kathy Garner of Oran; two sons, Jason Schlosser and Michael Steimle, both of Oran; one daughter, Jessica Schlosser of Oran; two brothers, Andrew Schlosser of Oran, and Daniel Schlosser of Chaffee, Mo.; one sister, Marilyn Schlosser of Chaffee; a stepson, Jimmy Hargrove, and a stepdaughter, Jody Hargrove, both of Oran; 10 grandchildren, Tristin, Adrianna, Scarlett and Roman Schlosser, Haylee and Carter Wilks, Taylor and Mallory Lowes, all of Oran, Kole Simms and Kaden Hargrove of Scott City.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Steimle.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg, Mo., with the Rev. Michael Casteel as celebrant.

Burial will follow at St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery in New Hamburg.
