Michael Proctor

MILLERSVILLE, Mo. -- Michael "Mike" Proctor, 54, of Millersville died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. An American Legion service will be at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Leslie Cemetery at County Line Baptist Church on Highway 34 with a military honor guard service. The Rev. Morris Cobb will officiate.

Mr. Proctor was born April 17, 1948, at Cape Girardeau, son of General "Bus" and Doris Wills Proctor. He and Norma Rabida were married Feb. 6, 1971. She survives.

Other loving survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Tracy and Robert Fuhrmann of Perryville and Michelle and Gary Kasten of Uniontown; three grandchildren, Kayla and Kelsi Fuhrmann and Nicholas Kasten; two brothers, Larry Proctor of St. Louis and Keith Proctor of Friedheim; and his mother, Doris Proctor of Millersville.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Mr. Proctor was a 1966 graduate of Jackson High School. He has worked for the former Atlas Plastics Company of Cape Girardeau, Obernmann and Son of Jackson, Cotner Electric, United Electric Supply of Cape Girardeau for the past seven years and most recently Schott Electric of Cape Girardeau.

Mr. Proctor was a Vietnam veteran, having served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1971.

Mr. Proctor was a member, past commander and current finance officer of the Altenthal-Joerns American Legion Post 158 in Jackson. He was also a member of the Honor Guard

Mr. Proctor was an avid Street Rodders fan.
