ORAN, Mo. -- Michael Dennis Perdue, 50, of Gillsville, Ga., died Monday, April 1, 2002, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.
He was born May 20, 1951, at Sikeston, Mo., son of Stanley Catus and Jean Olive Lupardus Perdue. He married Theresa Godfrey.
Formerly of Oran, he had lived in Georgia the past 19 years. He was a driver with Gainesville Cab Co.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ethan Perdue of the home, Michael Perdue of Springfield, Mo.; two daughters, Candida Perdue of Pittsburgh, Pa., Nikia Langston of Scott City, Mo.; six sisters, Jackie Myers, Dian Scholl and Cynthia Chapman, all of New Port Richey, Fla., Judy Puddy of Bull Shoals, Ark., Rebecca McConnell and Cathy LeGrand of Oran; four brothers, Monte Perdue of Gillsville, James Perdue of Midway, Ark., Patrick Perdue of Bull Shoals, Danny Perdue of St. Augustine, Fla.; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a brother.
A memorial service was held April 4, with the Rev. John Kinsey officiating.
Ward's Funeral Home in Gainesville was in charge of arrangements.
