Michael Puchbauer, 62, formally of Cape Girardeau, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2024 at his home in Trinidad, Colorado.
He was born Oct. 1. 1961, in Cape Girardeau to Carl and Patsy Phelps Puchbauer.
Mike graduated from Cape Girardeau Central High School and attended Southeast Missouri State University for one year before going into business for himself as a farmer. In 1983, Mike started Baer Trucking Co., then PCIT Heavy Construction Co. and then started DTL Carriers with his father. In 2023, he began a career in cattle ranching in Colorado. Mike was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.
Survivors include his father, Carl; his long time significant other, Paula Lindsey; daughters, Angela Puchbauer and Shelly Saladin; brother, Eric Puchbauer; sister, Amy Worley; and a granddaughter, Sophia Noller.
Mike was preceded by his mother, Patsy Puchbauer.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 29, at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson, with the Rev. Douglas Breite officiating.
