Michael Lutes

MARBLE HILL, Mo -- Michael Robert Lutes, 73, of Marble Hill, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at the Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born April 7, 1949, in Cape Girardeau, son of Earl and Julianna Tenholder Lutes. He and Kenna Schreiner were united in marriage on Aug. 29, 1989.

Michael had taught school for Woodland School District for five years and then in 1979 at the Wasilla School District in Alaska until his retirement in 2006. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and after he returned to Missouri, he loved playing golf.

He leaves behind his wife Kenna of the home; children, Joseph (Sara) Humphrey of Fort Worth, Texas, Michael P. (Megan) Lutes of Seattle, Washington; brothers, Ron (Henrietta) Lutes of Marble Hill, Gary (Sharon) Lutes of Glen Allen, Missouri, Gerald Lutes of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Tim (Tara) Lutes of Cape Girardeau, Jeff (Susan) Lutes of Highland, Illinois, Jamie (Tracie) Lutes of South Carolina; three grandchildren, Henry Humphrey, Arianna Lutes and Alaric Lutes.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Julianna.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held at a later date.

Arrangements were under the care of Ford and Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
