SIKESTON, Mo. -- Michael J. Kirchhofer, 37, of Sikeston died Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002, from injuries received in an automobile accident near Bernie, Mo.
He was born Dec. 18, 1964, in St. Louis, son of James and Martha Johnson Kirchhofer.
Kirchhofer was a construction worker.
He served in the U.S. Navy.

Survivors include a daughter, Kayci Ayers of Potosi, Mo.; his father of Atlanta, Ga.; his mother, Martha Kirchhofer of Sikeston; and stepfather, Wendell Pruett of East Prairie, Mo.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Herbert and Estelle Deprow.
Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Dolan Rogers and Jason Grubbs will officiate. Burial will be in Sikeston Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors.
