Michael Lee Garrett, 51, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, June 20, 2005, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Aug. 31, 1953, in St. Charles, Mo., son of Leo Roland and Barbara June Gentry Garrett. He and Donna Faye Harmon were married June 10, 1978, in Sullivan, Mo.
Garrett was an emergency medical technician with Cape County Private Ambulance, and a firefighter with East Cape County Fire Protection District.
He moved to Cape Girardeau 15 years ago from Scott City. He was a member of The Church at Morley in Morley, Mo., and International Brotherhood of Magicians.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife; a son, James "Danny" Garrett of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Chastity Bradfield of Scott City, Tonya Brandon of Troy, Mo.; his father of Scott City; two brothers, Patrick Garrett of Boardman, Ohio, Shawn White of Springvale, Maine; a sister, Tonia Russell of Scott City; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 11 a.m. to service time Thursday.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Douglas Sikes officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Memorial Cemetery at Scott City, with military graveside rites.
