Michael Eugene Evans Jr., 34, of West, Miss., passed away Friday, July 13, 2012, at University Medical Center in Jackson, Miss.
He was born Feb. 28, 1978, in Cape Girardeau, son of Michael E. and Marchell Holifield Evans Sr.
Evans was a member of New Life Center, and was an independent construction contractor.
Survivors include his wife, Skylar Stokes Evans; a son, Zachery Evans; two daughters, Jordan and Ravyn Evans; father, Michael E. (Gloria) Evans Sr.; grandmother, Alice Rose Rendelmann; a sister, Brenda Nichole Barrentine; two brothers, Justin Hunter Evans and Tyler Webb Evans.

He was preceded by his mother.
A service was held Tuesday at Culpepper Funeral Home in Kosciusko, Miss.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau.
Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Lorimier Cemetery.
