LAKE WAPPAPELLO, Mo. -- Michael G. Bullinger, 62, of Lake Wappapello, formerly of Cape Girardeau, passed away Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020, at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

He was born April 28, 1957, in Cape Girardeau to Norman and Glenda Green Bullinger. He and JoBeth Little were married Oct. 15, 2005.

Michael was a 1975 graduate of Chaffee (Missouri) High School. He worked at Procter & Gamble for 36 years, retiring in 2015. Michael was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and Knights of Columbus in Scott City.

Michael enjoyed all things outdoors, from traveling and exploring in their motor home, to taking every opportunity he could to ski, wakeboard or take the side-by-side out for a good time.

He knew he had a blessed life and appreciated each and every day given to him.

Loving survivors include his wife, JoBeth Bullinger of Lake Wappapello; mother, Glenda Bullinger of Chaffee; son, Mathew Bullinger of Chaffee; sister, Shelly (Don) Voelker of Maui, Hawaii; in-laws, Carolyn Little and John Ruester; and the many cherished friends made along the way.

He was preceded in death by his father and beloved daughter, Lauren.

Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tom Miller officiating.
