Michael H. "Buster" Bragg, 69, of Cape Girardeau went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 28, 2020, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 17, 1950, in Cape Girardeau to Ivan Harold and Nelda Ruth Stone Bragg. He married his high school sweetheart, Sharon F. Wren, on Aug. 29, 1968, in Cape Girardeau. He was a beloved husband, an exceptional father, a wonderful grand- and great-grandfather, as well as a foster father. He was very proud of his family.
Buster worked at Cape Special Road District from 1970 until he retired in 2009. He also owned his own electrical business, Bragg & Son's Electric.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Cape Girardeau.
His favorite things to do were river fishing, taking the grandkids shooting and deer hunting.
He always had a grin on his face and a joke or punchline for you. He was quite a character and you never knew what he was going to say or do.
He was one of the strongest men. He was full of wisdom and inspiration to everyone. He was truly loved and respected by all who knew him. He will be missed greatly by many.
Survivors include his loving wife, Sharon Bragg; daughter, Michelle (Andrew) Kirchner; sons, Michael J. Bragg and Scottie (Angie) Bragg; grandchildren, Julia (Bruce) Matlock, Michael J. (Amber) Bragg, Dylan (Scarlett) Bragg, Spencer Bragg, Thomas (Elizabeth) Allen, Skyler, Timothy, Harlie and Mason Allen; several great-grandchildren; and three foster children, Taylor, Justice and Elijah Wren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Bobbie Bragg; and brother, Ivan Dean Bragg.
There will be a memorial service scheduled at a later date.
