Meta Seabaugh

Meta E. Seabaugh, 96, of Festus, Missouri, formerly of Cape Girardeau, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 31, 2015, at Fountainbleau Nursing Center in Festus.

She was born Jan. 6, 1919, in New Wells to Martin and Louise Borchelt Perr. She was the fourth of 11 children.

Meta retired from Saint Francis Medical Center. Meta was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Neely of Pevely, Missouri, and Bobbie (Doug) Schaller of Vancouver, Washington; one brother and one sister, both of Cape Girardeau; 10 grandkids; 29 great-grandkids; and nine great-great-grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Levi Seabaugh; one son, Leroy Seabaugh; four brothers; four sisters; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Douglas C. Breite officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
