MATTHEWS -- Meta Faye Powell, 58, Matthews Route 1, died Thursday, Sept. 18, 1997, at Sells Rest Home. She was born Oct. 6, 1938, at Matthews, daughter of Omer and Elsie Rushing Sutton. Survivors include a son, John Powell of Matthews; her parents of Matthews; two brothers, Joe Sutton of Matthews, Greg Sutton of Sikeston; a sister, Judy Hannan of Trezevant, Tenn.; and a grandchild...

MATTHEWS -- Meta Faye Powell, 58, Matthews Route 1, died Thursday, Sept. 18, 1997, at Sells Rest Home.

She was born Oct. 6, 1938, at Matthews, daughter of Omer and Elsie Rushing Sutton.

Survivors include a son, John Powell of Matthews; her parents of Matthews; two brothers, Joe Sutton of Matthews, Greg Sutton of Sikeston; a sister, Judy Hannan of Trezevant, Tenn.; and a grandchild.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.
