MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Merrell L. "Appy" Taylor, 66, of Marble Hill died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2005, at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
He was born Jan. 27, 1939, in Cape Girardeau, son of Merrell Jacob and Medford L. Propst Taylor.
Taylor was employed by Riley Land Surveying Service in Marble Hill, and was a member of Marble Hill First Baptist Church.
He served eight years in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his mother of Marble Hill; a brother, Richard Taylor of Jackson; and a sister, Winonah "Sissy" Ossig of Marble Hill.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 9 a.m. to service time Wednesday.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Fred Ritter officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery with full military rites to be conducted.
