PATTON -- Meredith H. Moran, 89, of Patton died Monday, June 1, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born Oct. 30, 1908, at Crossroads, son of Luther and Garthea Moran. He and Estie Bollinger were married Nov. 18, 1930. Moran was a retired farmer and timber worker. PATTON -- Meredith H. Moran, 89, of Patton died Monday, June 1, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Oct. 30, 1908, at Crossroads, son of Luther and Garthea Moran. He and Estie Bollinger were married Nov. 18, 1930.

Moran was a retired farmer and timber worker. He was a member of Patton Presbyterian Church, Lions Club, Fireman's Association, and the Happy Old People of Patton.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Delmar Moran of Patton, Darold Moran of Neelyville; a daughter, Viola Johnson of Martelle, Iowa; two sisters; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a stepgrandchild; and two great-stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and a great-grandchild.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Patton from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jesse Perry officiating. Burial will be in Patton Cemetery.
