Funeral service for Melvin S. Kistner, 32 Camellia, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Revs. Scott Moon and Fred Poston will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
Kistner, 85, died Monday, Feb. 26, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Sept. 29, 1910, in Cape Girardeau, son of Louis and Christine Baker Kistner. He and Trula M. Seabaugh were married June 27, 1931, in Benton.
Kistner had worked at International Shoe Co., Western Auto, and had been an automobile mechanic. He retired in 1973. He was a member of IOOF Lodge 673, and attended Third Street United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, and a sister, Rosely Bechel of Cape Girardeau.
