MELLIE E. BRUNE

SEDGEWICKVILLE -- Mellie E. Brune, 100, of Sedgewickville, died Sunday, Sept. 24, 1995, at Perry Oaks Health Care in Perryville.

She was born Dec. 13, 1894, in Daisy, daughter of John H. and Julie Seabaugh Crites. She and Oscar H. Brune were married Sept. 6, 1918. He died March 4, 1973.

Brune had been an elementary teacher at Hildebrand, Critesville and Old Salem schools. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedheim, its Ladies Aid, and Daisy Homemakers Club.

Survivors include five sons, John and Cleo Brune of Perryville, Clyde Brune of Sedgewickville, Kelly Brune of Friedheim; six daughters, Mary Brune of Denver, Colo., Verna Hobeck of Daisy, Erna Seems of Peoria, Ariz., Mabel Kutschner of St. Louis, Dorothy Buck of Cleveland, Ohio, Loral Brune of Sedgewickville; 21 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, three brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville from 4-9 p.m. Wednesday, and Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to noon.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Church, with the Rev. Wayne Palmer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
