LOWNDES -- Funeral service for Mrs. Melba Violet Fischer of Lowndes will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. The Rev. Lloyd Miler will officiate, with burial in New Hope-McGee Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Mrs. Fischer, 81 years old, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 1990, at Pine Lane Boarding Home in Lowndes.
She was born March 1, 1909, in O'Neill, Neb., daughter of Charles E. and Amanda Funk Patterson. She married Earl August Fischer Sept. 24, 1927, in Wallace, Kan. He died Dec. 23, 1971.
Survivors include four sons, Robert, Raymond and Gary Fischer of Lowndes Route 2, Larry Fischer of St. Charles; two daughters, Kathleen Martin of Boynton Beach, Fla., Betty Fulton of Bloomington, Ill.; a sister, Norma Fischer of Leota, Kan.; 22 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons and two grandsons.
