MELBA HESTER

BLOOMFIELD -- Funeral for Melba B. Hester of Dexter will be held at 10 a.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home. The Rev. R.L. Hester will officiate. Burial will be in Bloomfield Cemetery.

Hester, 90, died Monday, March 29, 1999, at Vintage Villa Nursing Center in Dexter.

She was born July 9, 1908, at Bloomfield, daughter of George W. and Cora Eva Stroup Bryant. She married Hubert Hester, who died March 9, 1983.

Hester lived in Bloomfield most of her life, and was employed many years at Buck's Store. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Harold "Pete" Hester of Wappapello; and a granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and eight sisters.
