Melba Ann Bollinger, 94, formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, May 15, 2004, at the Jackson Manor Nursing Home, where she had lived since February 2001.

She was born Oct. 23, 1909, at Scopus, Mo., daughter of Phillip E. and Azie Myrtle Limbaugh Bollinger.

Melba graduated from the former Will Mayfield College in Marble Hill, Mo., and taught grade school in Dunklin and Bollinger counties. She then worked 47 years as a secretary for Angelico Uniform Company in St. Louis, Mo.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau and its Jean Sander Circle. While living in St. Louis, she attended a Baptist church.

Loving survivors include sister-in-law Vernadean Bollinger of Scopus and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by brother John Henry Bollinger and two sisters, Velda Bollinger and Mildred Brown.

Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Scott Moon and Raymond V. Epps officiating. Burial will be in Cook Cemetery at Scopus.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Cook Cemetery, Scopus United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or Grace United Methodist Church.
