Melanie Zinn

Melanie Jane Zinn, 36, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004, at her home.

She was born April 26, 1967, in Jackson, Miss., daughter of Mathias Joseph and Martha Jayne Delbridge Schmidt. She and Darrel Zinn were married July 7, 1984, in Tupelo, Miss.

Zinn was employed at St. Francis Re-gional Laboratories. She was a member of Lynwood Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Kelly Zinn of Cape Girardeau; a son, Justin Zinn of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Alan Schmidt of Tupelo; two sisters, Cindy Myrick of Tupelo, Glenn Schmidt of Mayhew, Miss.; and a half sister, Michelle Larson of Hazelhurst, Miss.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today, and at Lee Memorial Chapel in Verona, Miss., from 1:30 to 2 p.m. Sunday.

Funerals will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Funeral Home, and at Lee Chapel at 2 p.m. Sunday. Dr. Derek Staples will officiate. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park at Verona.
