MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Medford "Pete" Taylor, 93, of Marble Hill passed away Saturday, Feb. 18, 2006, at Elder Care of Marble Hill.
She was born Jan. 30, 1913, at Scopus, Mo., daughter of Ora S. and Arles E. Yount Propst. She and Merrell J. Taylor were united in marriage April 19, 1935. He preceded her in death Dec. 7, 1954.
Mrs. Taylor worked as circuit clerk for 20 years in Bollinger County from 1955 to 1975. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Richard A. Taylor of Jackson, and a daughter, Winonah "Sissy" Ossig of Marble Hill.
She was preceded in death by a son, Merrell "Appy" Taylor; her parents, a brother and three sisters.
Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Fred Ritter officiating. Burial will follow in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery in Marble Hill.
