JACKSON -- Medford Schleinger, 82, died Aug. 8, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 24, 1915, at Millersville, daughter of Willis Kinder and Minnie Mayfield Kinder.
She married Cecil Schleinger Dec. 21, 1939. He died April 9, 1969.
She had lived at the Lutheran Home for 10 years.
She was a member of the Little Whitewater Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School classes for children and adults.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 310 of Oak Ridge, where she was a past officer. She was member of The Cape Amaranth Chapter.
She was a representative for Court Cosmetics in Bollinger County and had been a cook at Southeast Missouri State University and at the former Mac's Restaurant in Jackson.
She is survived by a daughter, Connie Sanders of Millersville.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at McCombs Funeral Home at Jackson, with the Revs. Randy Miller and Daniel Hale officiating. Burial will be in Cook Cemetery at Scopus.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, with an Eastern Star service at 7:30.
