McCoy Edward "Mac" Pogue, 80, of Marble Hill passed away Jan. 26, 2014, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born July 10, 1933, in Coldwater, Mo., son of Henry and Mellie Tinnin Pogue. He and Juanita Kinnison were married July 10, 1954.
McCoy retired from Procter & Gamble in April 1994. He was of the Methodist belief.
He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Pogue of Marble Hill; two brothers, Cecil Harper of Fredericktown, Mo., and Bill Shrum of St. Louis; two grandchildren, Dustin (Samantha C.) Pogue of Fort Worth, Texas, and Heather (Stewart) Warden of Anna, Texas; a great-grandson, Seth Warden; and a special cousin, Bonnie Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; foster parents, Simon and Stella Shrum; a son, David Allen Pogue; four brothers, Claude, John, William and Jake Pogue; and a sister, Glenda Pogue.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Thursday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Steve Myers officiating. Burial will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, with full military honors.
