Maymie Taylor

ANNA, Ill. -- Maymie E. Taylor, 80, of Anna died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2004, at Jonesboro Healthcare Center in Jonesboro, Ill.

She was born Sept. 17, 1923, in Riverton, Ill., daughter of Grover C. and Ida May DeWeese Harris. She and Wid C. Taylor were married March 8, 1964, in Anna. He died May 15, 2001.

Taylor was a secretary at Clyde L. Choate Mental Health and Development Center, retiring in 1995. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Lowell Meyer Jr. of Oakland, Calif., Lincoln Meyer of Ogden, Utah; three brothers, Robert Harris of Falls Church, Va., George Harris of Pensacola, Fla., Joseph Harris of Channahon, Ill.; and several grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call Monday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna from 9 a.m. until time of service.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tim Sadler officiating. Burial will be in Anna City Cemetery.
