Mrs. Mayme L. Bowers, 66, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday morning, June 27, 1992 at her home after an illness of several months
She was born May 21, 1926 in Cape Girardeau, the daughter of Ren and Della Williams. She married William L. Bowers on Jan. 2, 1947 in Cape.
Survivors include: her husband; a son, Ronald Bowers of Cape; a daughter, Teresa Bowers of St. Louis; two brothers, Bill and Harry Williams, of Cape; and one grandson.
She graduated from Cape Central High School in 1944, and attended Southeast Missouri State University. She worked for a while at Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. and then worked 10 years in the office at Kimbel Truck Lines.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel, with Rev. Neil Stein officiating. Internment will be in the mausoleum at memorial park.
There will be no visitation prior to the public funeral service.
