MAYME ANN DEFIELD

EAST PRAIRIE -- Mayme Ann DeField, 95, of Jonesboro, Ark., died Thursday, Feb. 13, 1992, at Craighead Nursing Center in Jonesboro.

She was born July 28, 1896, at East Prairie, daughter of Allen Houston and Laura Bell Hill Mainord. She married Clyde DeField, who died in 1975.

DeField had taught at East Prairie R-2 Schools, and she and her husband owned and operated Lyric Theatre here. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and Eastern Star chapter in Charleston.

Survivors include a daughter, LaRue Cunningham of Jonesboro; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. Clint Wofford will officiate, with burial in IOOF Cemetery at Charleston.
