BENTON, Mo. -- Maylon Darrell Phelps, 68, of Benton died Monday, Oct. 19, 2015, at his home.
He was born June 16, 1947, in Edmonton, Kentucky, to Millis and Eliza Pearl Spain Phelps.
He was a self-employed carpenter.
He is survived by two sons, Maylon D. Phelps II of Cape Girardeau and Josh Phelps of St. Louis; four daughters, Ginger Wrather of Sikeston, Missouri, Rebecca Heuring of Oran, Missouri, and Liza Phelps and Sarah Romine of Benton; three sisters, Marlene Evans of Salem, Kentucky, Janice Neal of Glasgow, Kentucky, and Tammy Ward of Oklahoma City; 12 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton.
