PERRYVILLE -- May E. Cotner, 93, of Perryville, died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 1996, at her home. She was born July 8, 1902, in Crosstown, daughter of Jules and Zebie Streiler Chappius. She and Joseph Cotner were married Dec. 29, 1920. He died Oct. 24, 1957...

PERRYVILLE -- May E. Cotner, 93, of Perryville, died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 1996, at her home.

She was born July 8, 1902, in Crosstown, daughter of Jules and Zebie Streiler Chappius. She and Joseph Cotner were married Dec. 29, 1920. He died Oct. 24, 1957.

Cotner was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church and VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors include a daughter, Rita Boxdorfer of Perryville; three sons, Ray and Nolan Cottner of Perryville, Julius Cottner of Hecker, Ill.; 19 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren, and three great-stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, daughter, two sisters and two grandchildren.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and Friday from 6:30-9:45 a.m. The parish wake will be at 7 tonight.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent's Church, with the Rev. Jerry Kelly officiating. Burial will be in Home Cemetery.
