Maxine Mott

Maxine Marie Mott, 77, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, Mo.

She was born March 26, 1927, at Blodgett, Mo., daughter of Charley and Ella Mae Johnson. She and Charles Edward Mott were married in 1947. He died March 8, 2004.

Mott was formerly of East Prairie, Mo.

Survivors include two sons, Paul Mott of Sikeston, Mo., Johnny Mott of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Melba White of Dexter, Mo., Marilyn Byrd of Panama City, Fla.; a stepson, Charles Mott Jr. of Pittsfield, Ill.; two brothers, William Johnson of Centerville, Iowa, Bobby Johnson of Malta, Ill.; a sister, Dorothy Cline of Cape Girardeau; a grandson; a stepgranddaughter; two great-grandsons; and a great-stepgranddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, Mo., from 10 a.m. to service time today.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home, with Chief Paul White Eagle officiating. Burial will be in Unity Cemetery near Benton, Mo.
