Maxine Lipsey

OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Maxine Lipsey, 93, of Olive Branch died at 1 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 19, 1916, in Royalton, Ill., to John Jackson and Fallah Lawson Manering. She married Dr. William E. Lipsey on Aug. 6, 1947. He preceded her in death Nov. 22, 1995.

She was a member of the Lake Milligan Baptist Church.

Maxine is survived by a sister, Leta (Bob) Edmonds of Wildwood, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a son, Robert Lipsey; a grandson, Bobby Shane Lipsey; a brother; and four sisters.

Visitation will be from noon until 1 p.m. Monday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Mulkeytown Cemetery in Mulkeytown, Ill.

Memorials may be made to the Mulkeytown Cemetery and will be accepted at the funeral home.
