DEXTER -- Maxine Lacey, 65, of Essex died Friday, Nov. 5, 1999, at her home.
She was born Nov. 18, 1933, at Pocahontas, Ark., the daughter of Marshall Jackson and Ida Ellen Goodman.
She had lived in Essex and then spent some time in St. Louis before returning to Essex in 1982.
She was a member of the Essex Assembly of God Church and the Eastern Star. She was a CNA and had worked in nursing for many years.
She married Reuben D. Lacey in Collinsville, Ill., on Jan. 24, 1970. He died on Dec. 28, 1994.
Survivors include a son, Gale Eaton of Essex; a daughter, Connie McAnulty of Pine Bluff, Ark.; three sisters, Naomi Parker of Sullivan, Jackie Alberson of Essex and Verna Mae Richardson of Upper Lake, Calif.; and two grandsons.
She was preceded in death by three brothers.
Friends may call at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the Watkins and Sons Chapel. The Rev. David Looney of Essex and the Rev. George Hill of Dexter will officiate. Burial will be in Hagy Cemetery in Dexter.
