Maxine R. Jobe, 75, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, July 14, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Nov. 10, 1921, in St. Louis, daughter of Edwin and Odelia Lindauer Muehlenbrock. She and Lloyd G. Brown Sr. were married Oct. 6, 1943, in St. Louis. He died in 1962. She later married Louis N. Jobe in August 1972, in St. Louis. He died in 1990.
Jobe was an executive secretary in St. Louis, mostly with Carter Carburetor, retiring in 1983. She moved to Ozark, Ark., in 1983, then to Mountain Home, Ark., and to Cape Girardeau in November 1994. She was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church.
Survivors include three sons, James Brown of High Ridge, Lloyd Brown Jr. of DeSoto, Michael Brown of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Joan Strohmeyer of Cape Girardeau; a brother, James Muehlenbrock of St. Louis; 13 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a daughter.
Friends may call at St. Vincent's Catholic Church from 4-5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 5 p.m. today at the church, with the Rev. Joseph Williams officiating.
Visitation will also be held at Kutis Funeral Home in Affton from 4-9 p.m.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis.
Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
