MALDEN -- Maxine Imogene Strong, 68, of Malden, died Monday, Jan. 1, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born May 14, 1927, at Bernie, daughter of Charlie and Vinia Vincent Hampton. She and Troy Woodrow Strong were married Dec. 24, 1944, in Piggott, Ark. He died Jan. 23, 1978...

MALDEN -- Maxine Imogene Strong, 68, of Malden, died Monday, Jan. 1, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 14, 1927, at Bernie, daughter of Charlie and Vinia Vincent Hampton. She and Troy Woodrow Strong were married Dec. 24, 1944, in Piggott, Ark. He died Jan. 23, 1978.

Survivors include a son, Gaylon Strong of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Sue Haynes of Malden; two sisters, Irene Terrell and Imogene Watson of Malden; three grandsons, and two great-grandsons.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden after 6 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
