Maxine G. Davis, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was born March 1, 1925, in Murphysboro, Ill., daughter of Henry and Larina Germain Israel. She and Paul E. Davis were married in 1942 in Murphysboro, Ill. He died Oct. 19, 1984...

Maxine G. Davis, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born March 1, 1925, in Murphysboro, Ill., daughter of Henry and Larina Germain Israel. She and Paul E. Davis were married in 1942 in Murphysboro, Ill. He died Oct. 19, 1984.

She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and May Greene Garden Club.

Survivors include two sons, Paul Davis Jr. of Cape Girardeau, Jerry Lee Davis of Jackson; two daughters, Janet M. Hurley of Cape Girardeau, Kimberly McClard of Oak Ridge; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Lorimier Cemetery, with Jim Sanderson officiating.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
