JACKSON -- Max Manson Thomas, 72, of Jackson, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 8, 1919, at Gravel Hill, son of Willis and Bessie Burnett Thomas. He and Clara Sisson were married Nov. 23, 1946, at Bowling Green.
Thomas had lived in the Jackson area 23 years, and was a farmer. He was a member of Excelsior Lodge 441 AF&AM, Altenthal-Joerns American Legion Post 158, and First Presbyterian Church. He served in the European Theater with the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Roger Thomas of Jackson; a daughter, Angela Hall of Zion, Ill.; two brothers, Frank Thomas of Bremerton, Wash., Rupert Leslie of Marble Hill; a sister, Mary Caldwell of Albuquerque, N.M., and two granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Chapel. The Rev. William Bernauer will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
