EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Maude N. Gammons of East Prairie will be held at 2 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel. Mike Johnson and Burl Britt will officiate, with burial in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
Gammons, 68, of East Prairie, died Wednesday, March 31, 1993, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Oct. 7, 1924, in Hickman, Ky., daughter of William Oscr and Maggie King Adams. She married William Huel Gammons in 1941. He died Dec. 4, 1976.
Gammons was a member of Faith In Action Church at Anniston.
Survivors include 10 sons, Bobby, Billy, Walter "Bug", David "Weasel", and Lonnie Gammons of East Prairie, Odell Gammons of Bonifay, Fla., William "Curly" Gammons of Sikeston, Joe Gammons of Bowling Green, Fla., Larry Gammons of Lilbourn, Roger Gammons of Cameron; two daughters, Lula Baker of Georgia, Martha Ward of Columbia, Ala.; a sister, Mary Spencer of Hickman, and 88 grand, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren.
